THESE AREN’T YOUR TYPICAL SPRING BREAKERS. well we have been learning chess, so like new strategies, new tactics. FOR THE PAST WEEK, THESE 18 ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS HAVE BEEN READING.AND PLAYING CHESS. well I’m not as good at chess as i want to be. i want to be very good. 6TH GRADER HAILEY MIZE LOVES TO LEARN… chess helps me with math by adding my points and by learning to calculate. THAT’S WHY SHE DECIDED TO SPEND HER SPRING BREAK BURIED IN BOOKS AND COMPETING ON THE BOARD. now that I’m in middle school there’s like a lot of new things that i can learn. HAILEY AND HER TEMPORARY CLASSMATES ARE DOING THEIR BEST TO KEEP THEIR BRAINS BUSY DURING THEIR BREAK. one of the main things we teach is that before you act you need to think.
