Self Teaching Materials – Content

The TwinSpace is a platform to host
both process and outcomes of the eTwinning project. It is, first of all, a workplace, a dynamic environment
and not a place just to show static content. The TwinSpace is a place for active learning. It is not a website where every item
must be polished before being uploaded. It is a safe platform where
participants learn and make mistakes. In the TwinSpace, content serves the purpose
of communication with all project partners, as they are encouraged
to give feedback at all times. The TwinSpace has a section with Materials. In fact this is the upload zone
where you can store different content elements. It can be images, videos or files
like texts, spreadsheets or presentations. This collection of materials are,
what you could call, the building bricks you can use
to tell the story of your project. With the creation of pages, you can present the process and the outcomes of a project
in a coherent and meaningful way. In a page, you can combine
written text with items from the materials section. It is also possible
to embed internet applications in a page and in this way create
an even richer learning experience. Pages will be created and opened
in the course of the project. It is important to create
a logical structure in the pages so that all participants have a clear view
on the progress of the project. Teachers should make clear agreements
about the way the pages will be structured. The TwinSpace is a platform for collaboration. Therefore there should be multiple authors
who create content and pages. Also pupils can be given
the right to add content to a page. eTwinning projects are much more than
what can be grasped from pages and materials. It is the whole cluster of interaction,
sharing and communicating with the project partner as well as the non-digital classroom activities. However it is important to document
the project as comprehensive as possible and to collect and present
the content created at all stages.
