Podium finish into Newport

So pumped to go home. Hope to be right at the top pushing these
red boats right now. Ready to fight and just deliver some good
results in the end. This one is pretty special, it is the homecoming
for our team and given everything we have gone through, a leg win would be pretty nice. Ding. Ourselves and Turn the Tide are at the front
end of the fleet and the other guys are chasing. Leading for now on the tracker at home, which is all that matters. It’s been kind of trade wind sailing so we
just want to see how we match up speed wise and we did pretty well. We weren’t the fastest but we are at the top. Smell really good. Johnson & Johnson. It was overdue. It is Day 8, first shower of the race. Right now it is just Groundhog Day, keep hammaring
away, keep chipping away at the guys in front and make sure the guys behind don’t take too
much out of us. Never backing off. The second you kind of think you’re – start
chatting and have a good time – we were a little bit slow that sched. So it’s a bit like got to keep pushing. Thomas is 2 and a half and Maggie is just
about to be one and she could be walking by the time I get there in a week’s time. So that’s pretty cool. We have a couple more days to go and all the action in this race is going to happen quite quickly at the end. Gybe over. Start heading towards Newport. Breeze is going to build. We are going to have 30-35 knots. Ripping. Gulf Stream. Front. Boom. Tack. J1 – reach on in. Finish. We just finished here in Newport in a foggy
light air morning. Came in third place. Vestas 11th Hour Racing Pancakes! It’s incredibly nice to be back here in Newport
and be on the podium once again. Feels amazing. Pretty overwhelming right now. It always is coming into Newport but especially
with the Volvo and all the committed fans to sailing here. It’s pretty incredible. It feels amazing. I am so happy to be back. Vestas 11th Hour Racing [Cheers] Vestas 11th Hour Racing [Cheers]
