How to Win at Chess

How to Win at Chess. Chess is a game of strategy. With the right techniques at the beginning
of the game, you can quickly corner your opponent’s king and call checkmate. You will need Chess set and reference book
or dvd on opening moves (optional). Step 1. Develop all of your pieces at the start of
the chess game by moving them onto the best squares. Don’t just focus on one piece. Consult a reference book or DVD, or the _Encyclopedia
of Chess Openings_, to learn more about opening moves in chess. Step 2. Protect a piece from your opponent by waiting
before you move pieces to the other side of the chess board. Don’t move pieces past the first 4 rows of
squares on your side of the board until you have a clear idea of your plan of attack. Step 3. Cover all your bases and control the central
squares by playing your pieces broadly across the whole board. Step 4. Protect your king. Castle early on in the game. Castle on the king side, as the queen side
is more vulnerable. Move the king two squares towards the rook,
and the rook two squares the opposite way. Step 5. Hold on to your knights in the first rounds
of the game. Knights are more important than bishops at
the beginning of a game. Step 6. Attack your opponent only when you are ready
to deal with their counterattack. Step 7. Use pawns to block your enemy, and to defend
more important pieces when they are in danger. Step 8. Wait until the right time to bring out the
queen. The queen will tend to draw a lot of attention
from most opponents, so don’t move the piece until you are confident that you know how
you are going to use it. Step 9. Have a plan. Have a goal you want each piece to accomplish,
and move each one according to that plan to win the game. Did you know Chess is believed to have originated
in India as far back as 600 BCE.

    10. Don't follow any of these steps or you will fail at chess!

  5. @TheFireclone as you can see at 0:56 the kings the one with the cross, just before 1:41 the king moves all over the fiels, i do realise that 1:41 revers to a move miliseconds after the one i mean.

  6. @SilverMoon60 IT'S NOT JUST ATHEISTS WHO CHANGED IT YOU IDIOT. IT'S ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT CHRISTIANS. JESUS CHRIST MIGHT NEVER HAVE EXISTED AND YOU CAN'T PROVE THAT HE DID!!! GTFO GTFO AND DON'T REPLY

  7. @SilverMoon60 MAKING FUN OF OTHER PEOPLE'S RELIGION IS A COMMUNITY GUIDLINE VIOLATION. IF YOU CONTINUE HATING ON ATHEISM I WILL HAVE TO REPORT YOU.

  8. @SilverMoon60 Microwave background radiation. And I have an explanation on why our universe is complicated. Also, this "God" is perfect which you say cannot be an accident. God "happened" to be perfect? You called me a bitch, and that refers to a girl, and you now say my dick is small, which means you think I'm a guy. ?????
If you want to fight, we'll fight. If you want to play, we play Uncle John.

  9. @SilverMoon60 Now can you just let me move on with youtube? I don't like talking about religion yada… and it's NOT because I lose the fights!

  10. Knights are not all the time more important at the start than bishops. If you play an open game or something like a gambit your bishop is more valuable.

  11. So many problems. First off sometimes it is better to caslte queenside then kingside depending on the game. Second bishops are more important in the opening of the game because the game is generally open and the bishop can control more squares, the knight is only better in the closed game because the peice can jump. At 1:40 he is moving his king diagonally.

  12. atheism isnt a religion. religion is described as a persons belief in a higher power. you would know this if you had gone to a good catholic school.

  13. Obviously she's a grand master at chess. Look at all the tactics shown in this video. Step 9 have a plan what an AMAZING idea. She could easily beat Bobby Fisher, Garry Kasparov, Magnus Carlsen, and Paul Morphy with her eyes closed. Her amazing opening theory is unmatched by the countless other people who study entire books about chess. HowCast the best at chess. (Sarcasm)

  14. And if you know you're playing a noob or imbecile try the 4 move mate (but if you try it on any real chess player you'll get smacked hard).

  15. And what the heck is this??? I will make a video:- how to win at football

  16. This isn’t great advice. Sure you can think of what to do as strategy, but you often change your plans according to your opponent’s moves. Strategy changes in a game, and you can’t follow through all the time.

  17. The white square should be on the right not as shown here on the left. What expertise are you displaying. Shame on you!!
