The beginning is very slow, you can fast forward or even jump to 1:40 I run a long range army with paladin and militias, DPRSNK’s style. That was before militia and reaver got nerfed (and rightfully so) Wisping uses a kind of rushy army, with lot’s of pressue on b2 Tiger, Harpy Bishop, and also Valkyrie can attack this square in 0-1 turn. He’s taking his time to make a move, because I am a tough opponent :p I am running out of steam to entertain you and there’s still one minutes to go till the first move As you can see my opponent runs a wisp And I don’t run frostmephit If you haven’t seen already, I am “grandmaster” and he is “expert”. Which meant he is decent, but not as decent as me did you know? GLHF means Good Luck Have Fun and “:)” is a smiley (a simplistic representation of a smiling face) What a surprising move ! I have to defend while attacking his cat and not exposing my king too much Facing rush armies, try to use pieces from the center/other side to defend the side under pressure, and blockade attacking lines And try to make counter threats, to make their initiative vanish away Ok I actually am not faster than him, jump 1 min ahead to see me move to my defense, rush armies are highly tactical from the get go, and you’d better not take a false step Or maybe I was just being distracted We’ll never know now… A stupid move, forcing the trade of the tiger Not sure about this one, he should try to get his pieces active which means not initiating trades but recapturing with developping moves I should obviously take with the bishop to avoid the penality and not block bishop Take note that there is no pin going on, the Harpy is only a range 6 rook Even then, queen guards f6 Prophylactic swapp. Now white pieces look dumb My last move is so good it makes my opponent think for a while (next move 7:30) In absence of bullshit (ranged/magic) pieces, my plan is to creep minions forward, supported by champion from behind This move prepares reaver to c6 (blocking king’s file), And restrict the dragon, but also weakens a6 This bishop was just fine where it was. The only point I can see to this move is to developp air elemental. Don’t move the same piece twice until all your pieces are well positioned, if possible White should probably put his wisp on b7, forcing either reaver to take it, or a long manoeuver with paladin This move does misses wisp b7, and does not developp the AE While militia to a3 then b4 was possible, if pushing militia was on his mind So bishop a3 was probably a loss of time, unless maybe the plan is bishop a1 to a2 one possible plan here is to prepare Magetower g6 If I cover the g4 square, the Harpy gets trapped I am not caring about this move, my plans are in the center. besides, b6 is strong. Owning the center, and threatening to kick the dragon at anytime This move is a bit premature though, now White should definitely play wisp b7 One move threat, and moving the same piece over and over Black should definitely swapp paladin with bishop, reinforcing the threat of Mage Tower g6, wining a tempo and possibly an exchange I considered threatening the dragon, but nothing good came out of it, dragon being possibly better placed on c3 My fears were dragon to a6, so I wanted to bring my paladin on the third rank But paladin swapp with bishop was just better to this reguard, since it could still go to the safer h6 in one, and keeps the option to swapp back the king to the left side this has to be a misclick. Why not b7? I took a long time to play the obvious moonfox b7 jump to 15:45 to see the next move Whose quality has nothing to do with the time it took to make tic tac, tic tac tactic, tactic… White best try is obviously to capture the rook, threatening the queen the painful way to get my bishop active preventing reaver push Finally getting my pally to the 3rd the third rank is the best place to put your pally/rook when facing a dragon White is down a champion and does not have what it takes to push. paladin up there walks into complications if dragon goes to b4, eyeing a6 With the idea to deny b4 later on Demon e4, attcking the dragon and owning the fifth rank (for me) was a faster idea to prepare Paladin to g3 (Although I don’t need to hurry) Magetower to c4 is now a threat See also how Valkyie guards effectively any infiltration squares (h2 and g1) In addition to be a forker, Valk can be an efficient defender if you know how to use it Next move at 20:28 Defends againt MTc4 MTg4 and demon e4 still are on the table Next move 22:45 That’s one of the moves covering b4 White fights for the b4 square, and makes room for the dragon to infiltrate next move 24:30 This move is a bit risky, but a later Rd6 can prevent any infiltration from White Now militia c4 looks dangerous Bishop a3, keeping the pin, looks like the only move Then I think Demon e4, rook d6, queen e8 look like the proper way to press my advantage further Sadly the game ends here I’m not sure whether Wisping surrended, but IIRC it was for technical reasons (DC), but Wisp conceded i chat I likely would have won thanks for watching! This part will likely be trimmed, there is litterally no point looking the end of this video
