  1. Thank you so much for posting this. I really appreciate the seeing the board and the players at same time. Keep posting these great videos.

  3. If more people were exposed to blitz they'd have a different perception of chess.  Blitz can be as exciting as any sporting event, IMO.

  4. thought the commentary was great, it was chilled relaxed and set the mood. they probably sparked a fat doob before sitting down

  5. The aspiring golf (or any other physical pro sports) player will never face Mickelson.

The beauty of chess is that the serious aspiring chess player can one day face the world champion, just like poker.

  6. Well, shoot. That game was exciting at first, but then it just sort of fizzled out. Hate it when they do that.

  7. I think that a true game of chess is that one which it needs no chess at all. A game of memory and calling the moves.  And you would have to keep the chess game in your head.

  8. Not a chess pro or anything but why did they quit playing? They both had pieces left? Why would they call it a draw?

  9. hello, I am arnav. I am 11 years old. I think that 90% the game would be draw but if Magnus Carlson played carefully from that point he would win as his position was w bit better, he had a pawn chain aiming towards the king. I did an analysis of the game

  10. ★★★★★ Alexander Grischuk vs Levon Aronian Chess960, Blitz and Bullet ★★★★★

  11. Come on, put the chess board up a little so when we pause we're not looking at youtube's transport panel.

  12. A few pointers for future broadcasts:
    – Commentary is not needed here. This is Chess, not American Football.
    – 2D board display is not needed, all you need to do is get a good angle of the actual board, which includes the clock (a view from above, more than from the side).
    – Try to also get a view of the clocks, so the public can have a sense of the time remaining for each player.

  13. Anand is probably the most underrated and under-celebrated icons of the chess world probably coz he's a brown Indian guy
